WISDRI Won Two Honors in 2023 Iron and Steel Industry Brand Quality Development Conference

On May 10^th, the 2023 Iron and Steel Industry Brand Quality Development Conference hosted by China Metallurgical Information and Standardization Institute was held in Beijing, China, where WISDRI won the latter two honors of rich variety, elevated quality and well-established brand granted in recognition of outstanding enterprises in China’s metallurgical industry.

China Construction Engineering Luban Prize: India CHROMENI Stainless Steel Project

Capable of producing 600,000t 2B/2D stainless steel products annually at a world record-high speed of 200m/min, the CHROMENI project is the first stainless steel line ever built by a Chinese company in India. Highly acclaimed by China’s People’s Daily and India’s Economic Times, the stainless steel line set a paradigm of China technology, China standard, and China speed in going global.

Award for High Quality Project: Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Complex in Vietnam

The Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Complex is one of the most influential standard-setting projects in the metallurgical industry of Southeast Asia, and also an iron and steel project with the largest investment in Vietnam in the past five years. Since it was put into operation, each and every system within the steel complex has been running in good condition, meeting high requirements for energy efficiency and environmental friendliness while achieving record highs in production indicators. Products from Hoa Phat Dung Quat have found them quite welcome both in Vietnam and neighboring countries, boosting the sustainable development of Vietnam’s steel industry with considerable economic, social and environmental benefits. 

Shanxi Jinnan Steel Production Facilities Upgrading Project

Since the upgrading project was completed, its BF has joined the leading rank of world’s high performing blast furnaces in terms of effective volume productivity, and the steel complex’s comprehensive energy consumption and cost per ton of steel stand far below the average levels of China’s steel industry. With remarkable economic and social benefits delivered after upgrading, Jinnan Steel has become a role model in green, efficient steel production.
